Default Changes Being Worked On

FYI - We are working on some changes to migrate away from the dreaded "Edit License" & "Verify License" procedures and towards the new dedicated support & tickets system.

If you have problems verifying your account during the transition, please let us know and we'll manually validate your account settings.

Sorry for the inconvenience during this phase, but I think you guys & gals will appreciate the reduced hoops that people currently need to step through.

Last night was a busy night. Got most of the coding done to get rid of old "Edit License" / "Verify License" procedures.

As of immediately you can create a new free v3 Arcade license here. That will establish a new license number unique to you. When entering the URL please be sure to either use the full path to v3A (eg: http://www.MySite.com/vB/arcade.php or at a minimum the path to vB (eg: http://www.MySite.com/vB).

I still need to tweak some code yet if you only enter the path to vB but hopefully I'll get a chance to work on that tonight.

If you already did the old "Edit License" / "Verify License" then you may already see a new converted license number established for you. If you don't, just go through the download process to download a fresh copy of v3A and you'll get a new number. Everybody with a Branding Free License has been automatically converted.

If you are trying to download any games from the v3A Game Store and get an error then be sure to edit your license information. Try making the URL the full URL to where you have v3A installed at.

When clicking "Edit License" on that page, and then attempting to save I get:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init() in /home/v3arcade/public_html/products_include.php on line 109

Was that the error you still needed to work on that you referenced above?

I tried to put my url without the arcade.php at the end of it.

Ex: http://forums.wtf.com

That's bizarre, it doesn't seem to like your WTF.com site! I just tried it using several of my own sites and it saved but when I use a variation of WTF.com it gives an error.

Well, that wasn't on the open list of things to check & fix but it is now.

Thanks for letting me know; hopefully tonight I can check it out.

OK, that one is fixed now. I ended up tearing through the code thinking I made a Silly Programmer Mistake somewhere by messing up some of Brian's code before it finally dawned me... I was looking at a Silly Admin' Mistake instead. When I moved the sites over to our new server I.... uh... uhm.... may have forgotten to install CURL on the new box.

Unfortunately it also means that I didn't work on the few tweaks I needed to do tonight so for now the URL would still need to be entered qualified to where v3A is installed (eg: http://www.{mysite}.com/{vb}/arcade.php).

Tomorrow night then I'll work on tweaking the code to look for either /{vb}/arcade.php or just /{vb}.

It wasn't all for naught though; gave me a chance to update to a newer version of PHP while I was there.

lol

I'm happy it was something simple!

I shall leave now, and continue to day dream about an early vb4 arcade beta.
